1-2 March 2023 | Australian National Maritime Museum, Sydney, Australia
The Ocean Business Leaders' Summit is an opportunity to gather collaborators across business, finance, research, science, and government to discuss the future of a sustainable ocean economy in Australia. The Summit will focus on the topics of ocean knowledge, equity, innovation, and governance, with broader alignment to the Ocean Decade objectives as well as global frameworks such as the Taskforce on Nature-Related Financial Disclosures and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. There will also be four strategic immersions to increase literacy and connectivity, and an executive luncheon to encourage conversation. The participants will be given the chance to contemplate and consider the opportunities that the ocean presents for businesses.
The Sustainable Development Reform Hub is proud to be a knowledge partner and speaking at this inaugural event.
Ben Milligan, Director of the SDR Hub and the Global Ocean Accounts Partnership (GOAP) Secretariat will participate in the 'Ocean Finance Immersion', where he will discuss the interlinkages between ocean accounting and ocean finance, and how we can drive responsible investments in our ocean to support ocean conservation and create sustainable and equitable ocean-based economies.
