Improving gender equity in biodiversity and climate – we want to hear from you. This research is being undertaken by the UNSW Centre for Sustainable Development Reform and The Nature Conservancy, as part of the Nature’s Leading Women initiative.
We’re inviting experts to provide their views on gender equity in biodiversity and climate through an online survey. This survey has a particular focus on gender finance and inclusion of women at upcoming Conference of the Parties (COPs).
The research aims to:
- Examine the urgent changes needed to improve gender finance and the inclusion of women at upcoming Conference of the Parties (COPs).
- Identify an action agenda which identifies the roles of donors and partners in the biodiversity and climate space.
As part of this, we are looking for people who:
- Are 18 years of age or over
- Have a role which focuses on biodiversity, climate and/or gender equity.
- Work in one of the following types of organizations: (i) Government (local, state, national, international), (ii) Research/Academia, (iii) Consultancy, (iv) Non-governmental Organizations (NGOs), (v) Intergovernmental Organization (IGO), (vi) Multilateral Development Bank (MDBs), (vii) Civil Society Organizations or (viii) Funding body.
Unfortunately, the research project is unable to involve participants who:
- Are under 18 years of age
- Do not have a role which focuses on biodiversity, climate and/or gender equity.
- Do not work in of the following types of organizations: (i) Government (local, state, national, international), (ii) Research/Academia, (iii) Consultancy, (iv) Non-governmental Organization (NGOs), (v) Intergovernmental Organization (IGO), (vi) Multilateral Development Bank (MDBs), (vii) Civil Society Organization or (viii) Funding body.
The research team intend to publish the results of the research, including: (i) reports, (ii) policy briefs and (iii) peer-reviewed articles. All Information will be published in a way that will not identify you. The findings will be made available on: (i) The Nature’s Conservancy website and (ii) The UNSW Centre for Sustainable Development Reform’s website. It will also be distributed through professional networks, social media and mailing lists.
